At the Annual Meeting on 7th April 2016, Edmund Strainge and Gill Long were re-elected as wardens. They will be sworn in officially by the Bishop in the next few weeks. The following were elected to the PCC for the coming year.
June has lived in the village for 53 years and a member of the church for 25 years.
She manages the tea and coffee rota and also the stock.

Steve Bold (Deanery Synod Representative) and runs the Friends’ of St Bartholomew’s
Steve has lived in the village for over twenty years. This is his second time serving on the PCC. Steve has recently retired from a career in engineering. He has taken over running the Friends of St Bartholomews’ from Maurice Spalding and through that he is enjoying getting to know more people in the village after years of commuting for his job. He is always keen to hear from Friends of the church or those seeking to join.
Jane originally joined the PCC in 2006 as Treasurer and subsequently became Administrator. However, she is now concentrating on the website and Facebook pages with the aim of increasing “technical” outreach. Any suggestions or amendments are welcome.
She also has the Bishop’s permission to serve the Eucharist-

Meg became a member of St Bartholomew’s when she moved to the village in 1998 and has volunteered in many roles ever since, including as a bellringer for most of that time. She leads the Pastoral Team of volunteers who befriend church members and support them in times of illness, bereavement or infirmity, including helping with transport, both to church on Sundays and to medical appointments when necessary. Meg has recently become Leader of the Mothers’ Union Branch. She is a member of a society which aims to live out the Christian life following the example of St Francis.
Sarah moved to Ducklington 13 years ago and became a member of St Bartholomew’s church soon after that. She has sat on the PCC for the four years and recently took on the role of lead for Safeguarding. She has worked in education for over 25 years most recently holding the post of Strategic Lead for Education Quality in Oxfordshire. She works as an Ofsted inspector in the south east of England and is chair of governors at Ducklington Primary School.
Her hobbies include making mosaics, gardening, cooking and the theatre. She has been an active member of Faringdon Dramatic Society for over 20 years and relaxes by making preserves for “Mrs V’s Chutneys and Preserves”.
Angela Williams (Deanery Synod Representative) – Children’s Co-Ordinator
Having retired from teaching, l moved from Hertfordshire to Oxfordshire eight years ago. I have three grown up children, four delightful grandchildren( the youngest being six months old), a cat called Wesley and a rabbit called Rosie!
I seem to be very busy looking after grandchildren, Church activities, painting and trying to write a children’s book!

At the first meeting of the new PCC that immediately followed the annual meeting, Rachael Levermore was re-elected Secretary and David Duthie as Treasurer.
