26And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. (KJV)
About Rev'd Paul Boddam-Whetham: I joined the parish of Ducklington with Hardwick in February 2016 from my previous post as curate in St Albans. I had been in the construction industry, having been with John Laing Construction for 25 years and then Bovis Project Management for 10 years before falling victim to the 2008/9 recession and taking early retirement. At this point I was already going through the discernment process with the Bishop and was offered a training place with the Eastern Region Ministry Course.
Having been a late responder to God’s call to ordained ministry, I was content to offer myself across the breadth of opportunity that was available as I came to the end of my curacy and I am honoured to be invited to serve as your Rector and am excited to be part of God’s mission both in Ducklington and the wider deanery.
