Who are these courses for?
Offered by the Diocese of Oxford as part of its Local Ministry Programme, these courses are for those training as Licensed Lay Ministers (LLMs) or for ordination, and also a growing number of people with a passion to learn more about their faith, about God and our place in his world. Perhaps you want to explore something new, become better equipped or dig a bit deeper into what you believe and why? Simply select your course and sign up.
THIS COURSE WILL CONSIDER BIBLICAL, PASTORAL AND LITURGICAL ASPECTS OF THE MINISTRY OF HEALING.
It will explore how this ministry might best be practised in the parish, and address some of the issues which may arise. It will be suitable for anyone wanting to explore the ministry of healing for the first time, or to add further dimensions to what they have already been doing. There is a particular focus on the role of lay people, including LLMs, in this area of ministry. This one-day course will be online. There will be some brief preparatory reading and then, on the day, slots will be allocated for you to work through further learning materials, interspersed with seminar time in groups (on Zoom) and scheduled breaks. The day will begin with an online service of prayer for healing. You will work on learning materials in our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), Moodle. You will need to be set up on Moodle to access the course.
VLE joining instructions will be issued upon booking through Eventbrite.
