{"id":23530,"date":"2022-12-11T16:44:01","date_gmt":"2022-12-11T16:44:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ducklingtonchurch.org.uk\/?post_type=ctc_sermon&#038;p=23530"},"modified":"2022-12-11T16:44:01","modified_gmt":"2022-12-11T16:44:01","slug":"the-light-of-christ-is-all-around-us","status":"publish","type":"ctc_sermon","link":"https:\/\/www.ducklingtonchurch.org.uk\/?ctc_sermon=the-light-of-christ-is-all-around-us","title":{"rendered":"The light of Christ is all around us"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Matthew 11.2\u201311<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><sup>2<\/sup>&nbsp;When John heard in prison what the Messiah was doing, he sent word by his disciples&nbsp;<sup>3<\/sup>and said to him, \u2018Are you the one who is to come, or are we to wait for another?\u2019&nbsp;<sup>4<\/sup>Jesus answered them, \u2018Go and tell John what you hear and see:&nbsp;<sup>5<\/sup>the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news brought to them.&nbsp;<sup>6<\/sup>And blessed is anyone who takes no offence at me.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup>As they went away, Jesus began to speak to the crowds about John: \u2018What did you go out into the wilderness to look at? A reed shaken by the wind?&nbsp;<sup>8<\/sup>What then did you go out to see? Someone dressed in soft robes? Look, those who wear soft robes are in royal palaces.&nbsp;<sup>9<\/sup>What then did you go out to see? A prophet?
