Thank you so much to Andrea and Jenny for organising our day and to The Rev’d. Preb. Jane Haslam who led our Ladies’ Away Day on 6th July, at Cokethorpe School.  Jane explained her passion for St Benedict and what learning about him has brought to her life.  We discussed the 3 main vows he made and encourages in us: <\/p>\n

  1. Obedience or, rather, listening.<\/li>\n
  2. Stability<\/li>\n
  3. Conversion or conversation of life.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In between we consumed much food and created, walked, wrote and mainly chatted but also listened to one another.  We left with that endorsement “listen with the ears of your heart”<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n
