The 2011 Census states there are 1,581persons resident in Ducklington; it&#8217;s possible that there are about 22 persons in our village that live with dementia.<br \/>\nDementia affects not only those who live with the disease but also those with whom they live, extended family and friends.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ducklingtonchurch.org.uk\/?ctc_event=ducklington-warm-space\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Ducklington Warm Welcome<\/a> initiative in the Village Hall<br \/>\nwelcomes those living with dementia and their carers to meet with fellow villagers on a Thursday (11.30-15.00). We are pleased to say that <em>all the Warm Welcome volunteers have successfully undertaken Alzheimer\u2019s Society training, and are proud to call themselves Dementia Friends.<\/em><br \/>\nThe Warm Welcome Space has been offering a warm environment, hospitality, fellowship, hot drinks, cakes and a simple midday meal since November 2022.
