I joined the parish of Ducklington with Hardwick in February 2016 from my previous post as curate in St Albans. I had been in the construction industry, having been with John Laing Construction for 25 years and then Bovis Project Management for 10 years before falling victim to the 2008/9 recession and taking early retirement. At this point I was already going through the discernment process with the Bishop and was offered a training place with the Eastern Region Ministry Course.
Having been a late responder to God’s call to ordained ministry, I was content to offer myself across the breadth of opportunity that was available as I came to the end of my curacy and I am honoured to be invited to serve as your Rector and am excited to be part of God’s mission both in Ducklington and the wider deanery.
Paul retired from the Parish in July 2021
