Saturday 11th April 2026 – Bampton Circular Walk
We continue to be wary of walks along the Thames Path, Windrush River and meadow areas; my concern is mud, puddles and wet feet.
Our Bampton Walk will start at 10:00 (Saturday 11th April ) in the Market Square car park and will follow a route that loops around the village taking in views of buildings that were used in the filming of Downton Abbey and some more rural vistas. The walk is just over 2 miles long and should take us about one to one-and-half hours. It is billed as an ‘easy’ walk.
We will have our refreshment stop at the end of the walk at the Bampton Coffee Shop (just across the road from the Market Square).
From what I can gather the walk is both dog and pushchair friendly.
