WORSHIP
The heart of Anglican worship is the Eucharist which is celebrated every Sunday. Ducklington church is made up of people from different Christian traditions. Some might call it “Holy Communion”, others “The Lord’s Table”. The shape of our Sunday worship re-enacts the Gospel story beginning with acknowledgement that we are not yet perfect, we have missed the mark, our humanity is flawed, and ends with our acceptance as members of Christ’s body as we receive the bread and wine.
We are not just spectators we are participants in this story or, as some suggest, the drama of salvation. Our aim is to ensure that the service is both accessible and meaningful to everyone, young and old. Each stage of the service is a scene in the drama. Over time the intention is to offer opportunities to explore the deeper meaning of each scene. We began with a session on Intercessions on 6th September.
