School meals and lockdown

24 April 2020
Dear Friends,
As a church we have usually donated items of food to the Food Bank which is a great way to help others in greater need. In lockdown, children who usually have a free school meal are now receiving a voucher each week for exchange at a local store. We thought it would be helpful if we gave the school a bag of ingredients for each child, so that these could be delivered to families who may be finding it exceedingly difficult to make ends meet. We are inviting anyone in Ducklington, if you are able to help, please to leave a donation in the box on the table outside the Rectory front door on Tuesday or Wednesday. We are hoping to make up parcels on Wednesday to take to the school on Thursday for delivery. Some of the items needed are:

  • Tuna
  • Pasta
  • Tinned tomatoes
  • Jar of pasta sauce
  • Soup
  • Baked beans
  • Frankfurters
  • Spam, tinned meat
  • Tinned fruit
  • Macaroni cheese, tinned spaghetti
  • Long life milk
  • Orange squash

Thank you so much for your help
