The Witney Food Bank advises us that, as a church, we donated some 46.38Kg of food in December – wow! Keep up the good work – you can place your donations in the box in the South Porch. Here’s what’s currently needed:
The Ride ‘n’ Stride cycling and/or walking around the area’s historic churches has resulted in a magnificent donation, via OHCT, of £654.50. Thank you so much to all those who took part and those who supported them. The money goes in to the Fabric Fund.
The collection we took at the Carol Service on the 15th december was in aid of Emmaus Oxford. The collection, together with another collection in lieu of purchasing individual Christmas Cards, raised a grand total of £467.33. This has already been passed on to Emmaus. What a beautiful and moving service! Thanks to Rhoda for explaining how and what the Christingles represent. The weather was so bad but so many came out to create this lovely warming atmosphere in church when the Christingles were lit…..safely! A collection for The Children’s Society raised £163.86
