Edmund Strainge

(Elected until the APCM 2024)

Edmund has lived in Ducklington parish all his life, the first 47 years in Church Street.  He is a working member of a local farming family; In the past he has been Chairman of Ducklington Parish Council and Chairman of the Village Hall Management Committee.

Edmund has been an active member of St Bartholomew’s Church since the early 1970s, and, Church Warden from 1972 to 2018.  He has the Bishop’s permission to serve the Eucharist since 1989.
In September 2015 he was welcomed in to The Fellowship of St Birinus by The Rt. Rev’d Colin Fletcher, Bishop of Dorchester, for service to God and and the church in Ducklington; for serving as Churchwarden for over 40 years and giving service to the community as Chairman of the Parish Council.
