Town centre chaplaincy

We are starting a chaplaincy service within Witney to ensure that the churches are available to walk alongside the community in which we live and serve. The initial focus of the chaplaincy service will be to those who visit the town centre for work, shopping and to connect with other people. Though this service will be managed by the Methodist church, it is an ecumenical project that invites people from all churches to take part in this exciting mission.

Do you feel like this may be something that God is calling you to? Do you have a heart to offer friendship and love to those in our community? We are seeking people to volunteer in this ministry and at this time would like to hear from all who wish to explore if this is something for them. We will be holding some training sessions on Zoom between the hours of 7pm-9pm on the following dates:

10, 17, 24 May

These sessions are for anyone who may be interested in volunteering to join the team and will help you explore if it is for you. Once training/discernment is completed there will need to be a short recruitment process.

If you would like to know more then please email chaplaincy@highstmethodists.co.uk and we’ll be happy to get in touch and answer any questions!
