We are very sad to have to announce that David Winter who was Vicar at St Bartholomew’s from 1989-1995, died on Sunday night “peacefully in his own bed…. and spared any pain or distress…..”
His family will advise of funeral details in due course.
Not only was he our parish priest but he was a retired English teacher, journalist, broadcaster and prolific author. We have some of his sermons recorded and if you wish to listen again, take a look here
