Yes, it’s that time again!
As usual St Bartholomew’s Church will be providing the Refreshments Tent and so we will be asking for your support.
We are looking for people to bake cakes, biscuits and savouries to be sold throughout the afternoon. We will also be selling teas, coffees and soft drinks.
Please add your name to the sign-up sheet if you are able to support this.
We will also need people (over 16s only) to serve the refreshments on a rota basis, plus people willing to take money. Please add your name to the list.
Finally, we would like people to help set up and dismantle the stall in the morning and at about 4.30pm.Last year, for the first time, we had a basket tombola stall. This was very popular and raised over £500 for church funds. Maureen took the lead on this stall last year, and this year Jenny Pratley has offered to take over the reins. People are asked to fill a basket (any size) with new (or extremely good) items. Last year we had almost 200 baskets I believe! If this is not appropriate for you, then maybe you can provide some items that might be used in baskets. Jenny is also purchasing some baskets if you would like to collect one from her or another committee member. A box will be in church on Sundays from the beginning of July. Volunteers will also be required to run the tombola stall.
Once again, we thank you all very much for your help and support in all our fundraising and community activities. This is a very important part of our mission.
