St Bartholomew’s Ramblers?

Thoughts to establish a St Bartholomew’s Church rambling group have been raised. The aims of such an activity could include it being an opportunity to increase physical fitness, socialising, raising spiritual awareness, or just enjoying the peace of the surroundings. The intention is to have the first walk in August of this year.
In order for us to be inclusive, we will endeavour to end a walk at a pub/café; those of us who are challenged with mobility, can meet the ramblers at the pub/café at the end of the walk for a liquid refreshment.
The intention is to venture on a walk of about 60-90 minutes in about a 5-8 mile radius of Ducklington. My initial thought is that the paths could be uneven and rutted, and alas, not wheelchair passable.
In line with our ethos of being a church-without-walls, we will welcome family, friends and fellow villagers to join us.
At about halfway through the walk I will offer a ‘thought for the day’, a poem, short reading, or prayer to ponder on whilst making our way back to the refreshment point.
At this time, I would like to hear your thoughts on anything I have said, and importantly, what time and day of the week and would suit you.
