Inaugural Ducklington Ramblers’ Walk

Inaugural Walk

Alison and I did a recce walk on the Thames Path from the Maybush (Newbridge). We completed an out-and-return (with a 10 minute halfway stop) that took us about 90 minute; we judge that the walk was about I mile in distance.

The path is mown and in good order with few deep pug marks/burrows and, in one section quite a lot of tree roots crossing the path. We suggest that it is not wheelchair/buggy terrain, and sturdy walking shoes are suggested.

A sunhat, suncream and at least a 500ml water container is a must.

The parking area at the Rose Revived is reserved for patrons (clamping is threatened); the parking at the Maybush is without restriction but more limited than at the Rose Revived. We strongly suggest car sharing please.

We suggest that we meet at 14.00 for a 14.30 start at the Maybush park bench seating area.
Please let me know whether you are accompanying us on the inaugural walk. My email address is llm2@ducklingtonchurch.org.uk and mobile number is 07932555022. This notification is to give me an indication of whom we need to wait whilst people park their cars.
Should you not hear from me before the walk, we are definitely going to go walking.
Please bear in mind that this walk is open to family, friends, neighbours (walkers don’t need to be congregation members). Dogs are welcome but need to be on a leash please.
