“We stand in sadness and solidarity”
In the aftermath of the Bondi beach attack, the Thames Valley Faith and Civic Leaders Group and the Oxfordshire Faith and Civic Leaders Group issued the following statement:
Once again as faith and civic leaders we stand in sadness and solidarity with those in Australia facing up to the horrific terrorist attack on the Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach. Our prayers are with the injured, the bereaved and all who are grieving.
We stand in solidarity with Jewish communities across the Thames Valley and beyond. Each time such an atrocity strikes, we renew our commitment to building peace, fostering understanding and nurturing good will within our own communities and across the world.
