Diocese of Oxford

PCC decision: updated protocols for church attendance

UPDATED PROTOCOLS AS AGREED AT THE PCC MEETING THURSDAY, 22nd JULY, 2021
  1. It has been agreed by the PCC that for safety reasons we will continue to ask people to wear masks, use hand sanitizer, social distance and not have any communal singing. We will continue with the singing group.
  2. Holy Communion will be offered in one kind only. The PCC decided that wafers will be used and only the celebrant will take the wine.  The congregation will be asked to receive from the dais.   A service warden will usher people at the appropriate time.
  3. With regret we have had to ask the Brize Singers to postpone their concert on the 30th July.
  4. We have a contactless giving plate in church to use with your debit/credit card if you do not want to give cash. Please ask one of the churchwardens if you need help to use it.
  5. If you haven’t already please consider signing up to our Parish giving Scheme. It is a direct debit scheme which is free to our church, gives gift aid and is inflation linked. You can give anonymously. There are leaflets in church and more information on their website: parishgiving.org.uk
