Ladies’ Away Day 2017 Our annual away day, although later this year, saw a welcome return to Friars’ Court Clanfield. With a very interesting talk from local artist Jessica Parker about her work and it’s connection with “letting in God’s light”. Our talented violinist Jill Allen also played for us to round off a very relaxing and happy day.

“Easter 2017 We hosted the “Easter Experience” over two days for our local primary school and we were really impressed both with the basic knowledge the pupils had of the Easter story and their questions and involvement with each scene of the tableaux
The children sent us some truly insightful letters highlighting what they learnt from the experience: it was a delight to have walked the journey with each of them.
The scenes were set up again for Good Friday when the church was open for people to reflect and meditate on these key moments in Jesus’ journey to the cross and to his being raised in glory.
Scene 6 finally brought us to the Day of Resurrection with the crypt used as the tomb where Jesus' grave clothes could be seen, left lying, with an angel greeting Mary and the disciples.
